Staff: very friendly and helpful. Location: near to two metro stations, each no more than 10-15min from the centre of Paris. We even walked back to the hotel on one occasion - c.25min. (VERY CONVENIENT.)
Other guests: odd (loud sex from one couple and a bloke who sang hymns from 4:00-5:30am as he packed and waited for his taxi - obviously a nutter). (Just bad luck.) Breakfast: 7 Euro per person for mediocre breakfast. We walked to the end of the road and got fresh coffee and pastries for 3 Euro per person. (NOT AN INSURMOUNTABLE PROBLEM - CAN BE WORKED AROUND AS DESCRIBED.)
It's location, close to Metro and it is in a nice area
Breakfast in hotel was poor
The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast very good - yogurt, OJ, coffee with steamed milk, coissants and jam. It was very close to the Metro (5 min walk) and the Gare. The bedroom was very clean and linens changed. Clean bath towels daily. Plenty of hot water. Received WIFI on the 4th floor. Great value for the money. Very accommodating as we added in a 3rd person to our twin room for one night without any hassle. From/To the airport: Don't take the Air France Les Cars coach to Gare Montparnasse (a long trip as traffic is bad). Take the RER train into the RER station just east of the hotel (a 10 min walk). RER train is less expensive too. A safe area as we were walking around late at night.
Shower grout was a little yucky - but not too bad. A little far to walk to places on a regular basis (Latin Quarter, St Germaine), but the metro was so close it was easy to get around. Walls were thin - bring your ear plugs.
We liked location of the hotel. Not a noisy place which is close to transportation and city center
Rooms are very small. Walls between rooms are not sound proof. Any word said in another room is well heard. Heating system didn't work. There is no air-conditioning in room either. No lobby.
It's proximity to Gare Montparnasse and their willingness to hold our luggage.
There was a permanent bad odour in the shower room.
Very convenient to Montparnasse Station if you are travelling south...walking distance,\
Very tiny lift & narrow stairs
It was quiet and out of the way. We liked being in the "real" Paris. The neighborhood was good and showed up what living in Paris is like.
Construction that was happening at the time, although, they were respectful and did not start too early.
This hotel is well located near subway, even if the metro line is not so usefull for sightseeing. The area is quite and confident. The price allows a good ratio for paris standard. The staff is quite friendly, even if they don't speak english properly (anyway isn't a big issue)
Room confort and clenaning should be better, especially due to noises coming from others room. Breakfast price is too high, moreover there are come bakery and bar/restaurant along the road where you can have more satisfaction with a lower price.
The hotel is conveniently located near the Metro (Gaîté station). The rooms were clean but small.
The price for rooms included free wi-fi access which was good. However, the wi-fi access was temperamental - it cut in and out during our stay which made using the internet difficult. In addition, when we checked out the hotel clerk tried to tell us that the hotel did not accept credit cards, contrary to what we had been advised at the time of booking. After some discussion the hotel did eventually accept my credit card.
Location is good. Hotel staff was friendly.
Our room was on the ground floor. It was so small and smells damp. Bathroom is very old and not clean. It was very noisy, it was hard to sleep, you can hear everything happening outside of the room. While checkout hotel staff said that their credit card pos is just broken and now it is not working, I had to go to withdraw money to pay.
The staff was very welcoming and friendly and the room was immaculate and well furnished. Their breakfast was great too!
Nice decor, bedroom (not bathroom) seemed clean, quite quiet, great neighboorhood.
Bathroom had mold in tile cracks. The location was nice--walking to great food, shopping, but long Metro ride (usually 2-3 transfers) to big tourist spots.
Good value for money. No luxury of course, but clean, friendly staff, central and quiet.
Nothing to remark, for the price this is good.
comfortabel and good value, on a quiet street so little traffic noise. Rooms small but clean and comfortable, good value for Paris
Location and surrounding neighborhood
Hotel did not speak English as stated in many reviews. Bathrooms were not 100% clean and no English TV stations.
